Shameless shill for Purchase Officials (Mizuno Umpire shoes pre-orders)

Well brothers, I bought these Mizunos specifically for use on turf fields so I could reduce the cleaning of my shoes. And then I didn't get a turf field game until earlier this week...

Overall, I really like these shoes! Upgrading the laces of course is a must. I was little concerned trying them on and wearing them around that they didn't feel quite as supportive as the NB's. But, having worn them in a game, that is no concern now. These are significantly lighter weight than the NB's and I felt much more agile and mobile wearing the Mizunos.

I did not wear a pitch to either foot so, I don't know how protective they are yet. I will also be curious to see that since they do not have a lugged tread, how will they perform on a wet turf field. I'm hoping walking back and forth over pavement to and from the field will rough up the soles enough to perhaps provide a bit more grip. In addition to upgraded laces on the next version, they need to re-work the sole and tread on these, too.
