Another Interference or nothing play...

2 scenarios that are similar.

R2 is stealing and it's ball 4 to the batter.  BR starts to head for 1st but the catcher, due to where he caught the ball, throws to 3rd and is bumped by BR going to 1st.  Interference? Penalty?

Similar situation but this time we have an R1 who is stealing.  BR strikes out, (swinging strike three) and his momentum carries him across the plate where he gets in the way of the catcher throwing.  Interference?  (if so, what's the penalty?)

1) Nothing (generally).  B has become a BR, so he's entitled to run to first.  Interference with a throw must be intentional.

2) Interference.  R1 is out (it's normally the B, but since he's already out, ....)

And on the 2nd scenario, if it wasn't strike 3, would the number of outs matter as to who is out?

No. If the Batter isn't out when interfering (e.g. hadn't just struck out), he is out for interference and all runners return to base at time of pitch.

And last note: If the runner is throw out stealing, despite the interference, then it is nothing. Which is why it's a delayed dead ball.
