Greetings brothers,

Last summer, I bought an Adams XV HDX and initially was very pleased with it. I wanted a backup CP which was lightweight, offered full coverage and good ventilation. I used this CP for 14U down and overall it did the job. Last night, I was working a LL Juniors game (14U) and a pitch hit right on the side buckle...and I heard a snap. Sure enough, after the game when I pulled my shirt up the buckle was broken. It's repairable, of course however if you are a "Real Man of Carriage"? This is not a good choice because one's large frame will place the buckles in an exposed position. Skinnier dudes? This CP and its straps will wrap back behind you better and the buckles will be more shielded.

Manufacturers, if you are listening...pay close attention to how your buckles, straps and fasteners might be potentially be exposed to damage or failure (thus exposing the wearer to more risk of injury) when designing your equipment...

What if you put them in an “exposed” spot to improve the fit? 🤔🧐
