Looks like Layne might be out for a while. Yesterday, Jerry Meals was pulled from his crew and took over Layne's spot on that crew. What's even crazier is that Brian Knight hasn't been with the crew since April 10th, so the 16th featured a crew with only two "normal" umpires for the crew.

I knew about that, and was commenting on that fact. I'm supposing Layne will be out for a few weeks, considering they moved Meals to his crew, instead of bringing up a AAA guy to take his spot for a few days.
