I have the All-Star FM4000 steel face mask, and need replacement pads.  I'm very happy with the LUC pads that came with it, but I see on the All-Star site that

I can order the LUC magnesium replacement pads or the standard LUCs, and I'm wondering if it's worth it/and/or needed for the steel FM400 mask.  Any thoughts on that are much appreciated!  Thanks!

I think it would all depend on the look you want.  You could get "graphite" in the LUC MAG pads, ...not sure that's available on the standard LUCs.  For me, because of the 'plate' in the bottom pad of

I think it would all depend on the look you want.  You could get "graphite" in the LUC MAG pads, ...not sure that's available on the standard LUCs.  For me, because of the 'plate' in the bottom pad of the LUC MAG, ... I'd go that route, but ... that's me :nod:
