Had my first Ejection ever for arguing a call. I was doing a Men's baseball league today DH. 2nd game, I had the plate.

Ring a guy up to end the B1 on a pitch on the corner. He chirps. I ignore. He complains, I said it caught the corner. He slowly goes to the dugout and tosses his bat. I ignore.

Goes out to 1B and continues complaining. Then, he says something about "you blind mother *****er".

I said "15, you're gone" and went to the manager and informed him the player had been ejected.

Nobody seemed surprised. Partner said that the guy totally deserved it - which I knew.

It went way better than my first ever officiating toss. It was an intramural flag football game as a college freshman. Safety kept chirping about the ref's call. I told him to be knock it off. He says "if I ever see you off this field, you better have a body guard."

I said the terrible phrase - "one more word and you're gone."

He says "word" and I run him.

He proceeded to go on a tirade that made me so glad we were at shift change and had 3 fields and 25 of us out there to have my back. He said terrible things to the female supervisor.

Turns out, he was an A-10 starting 1B/cleanup hitter.

A couple years later, my friend is a pitcher on the team and I get to know him. We joked about that night the rest of his time at the school. I learned some lessons that night and will never say that awful phrase again!

The really sad part on the ejection was because they were playing continious batting order ejected player was an out every time he came up. At the end of the game with a chance to really get back in the game the ejected players bat came up with men on base but the ejected batter out came first. Oh well maybe his team can explain it to him better. Nice job on the ejection.

Thanks, was pretty much a no brainer. Later, I thought, "wow, I went from I directly to E, skipped the A, W"

It was nice meeting and working with you.
