Any one know the official ruling/explanation of the LAA/SEA play on 4-22-16? R1 advances to 2nd on pitch, which after a replay, shows the pitch touching the batters bat, then the bat touches the cathcer's glove and ball ricochets to the back stop. R1 returns back to first, the. LAA argues and then goes back to 2nd. SEA mgr ejected. Don't know what on-field ruling was made. Never went to replay (unsure if able to).

It went to replay. They ruled it a foul ball, Lind back to 1st.

I'm guessing they ruled it was a wild pitch at first, and that since the umpire had told Lind it was foul and go back to 1b, they corrected the umpire mistake and sent him to 2nd.

I can't figure out what Servias could have been arguing there.

I just read through the game thread on lookout landing's blog site to see and nobody knows what he was arguing there.

He could've been complaining about the strike zone too. It was pretty wide that day. Looks like the SEA pitcher wasn't hitting the corners, but ANA got a few calls on the left corner that were pretty wide.

I just watched the video. I didn't  see it go to replay, and Lind ended up being returned to first. Servias was undoubtedly ticked at the reversed call from WP to foul. ...And I didn't see any EJ's either.

Ah - at 2:30, I thought they were going in to review, and they kept showing the replay, I thought they were reviewing it. Re-watched, no EJ, sure thought he was. I think he kinda tried.

He was on the bad end of a reversed call....be it right or wrong, managers seem to get a lot more rope when a reversed call goes against them.
