I have the Diamond iX3 shin guards (shown here - except I trashed the shoe protectors with the box they shipped in). The ankle guards get pretty dirty, and I'm looking for a good way to clean them. The plastic fronts are held on by rivets, so it's not like I can just take out the padding and throw it in the washer.

Any brilliant ideas on getting these clean before I put them away for the season?

I have the same ones. I took mine to the car wash and hosed them off with the pressure sprayer with no soap. I used the floor carpet clips on the washing Bay wall to hang them up and hosed them down, shammied them, then set on my patio in the sun to dry.

Hah! I'd thought of the same thing, but was afraid I would tear them up. Glad to hear that worked.

Just your thumb over the end of your garden hose will work too!  If you want, you can even spray a little bit of Simple Green on there and rub it with a damp cloth before you wash it with the hose.  As always...give it plenty of open air and time to dry before you pack it all away!
