Is there a reason that the posting times are so off?

 

This one says that it's posted at 8:11 p.m. which is 5 hours later than I really posted it?

Why not set it to Warren's time zone, and let the peons adjust accordingly?

There was a time when I was travelling so much that is what I used.  I guess mine is set to EST right now -- not correct, but I can adapt.

It's Universal Time - Zulu if you were in the military.  It's a reference point that stays in place while you meander. Using means you don't have to get everyone on the same page whenever a time-centric event is put in place - it's a universal reference point and they know how to adjust from it. So as long as you have to adjust anyhow do it from a known place.
