I'd not heard Metheny talk before. What a jackwagon. "We've got to be able to go out and fight for our guys, fight for what's right." Yeah, the umpires are the enemy, and managers always know what's right. Good thinking, jackwagon.

Yeah, really?  Why?  It's not going to change anything.  It just makes you look like a d!ck.  

 

Exactly why is this yelling necessary?  Man up.  Get over it.  Re-double your efforts in the game, if you think you've been "wronged."  Taking it out on the umpire --- one not even making the final decision --- is just being a baby.

 

Yelling at the umpire is one of the worst "traditions" of baseball.
