I wonder if they over turned it based on a tag of the runner's shoulder when the ball was in the fielder's mitt. There is no way Joyce would have been looking for a tag on this play. He was focused on the fielder's foot and listening for the sound of the pop in the mitt. Perhaps New York had an angle that showed a tag? Otherwise, I agree with other posters, there is nothing clear and convincing to overturn this.

I paused the video when they were showing the slo-mo replay, and when the ball first entered his glove, his TOE was still ON THE BAG

 

I guess you would say he was on his "tippy toes."
