I sure could have used that extended length Douglas instead of my "baby" WV Gold last Thursday during a HS game when I took two in the belly due to terrible untrained catchers.    Just Sayin'.......

The Mizuno has quickly become my favorite mask over the Wilson Ti. A little heavier but much better vision. I put the grey Wilson pads on with a Spider throat guard and it I love it.

I've heard this before .... "how" is the vision better?  Side to side? the front viewing area?  Inquiring minds want to know! :wave:

It is hard to describe...it just provides a better field of view. The field of view is not as good as my MVP4000, but it is close. Much better than my FM25TI. I just feel like I can see better.

Yeah the vision is just better. I put the Wilson on a couple of days ago and it felt like I was trying to peek through a tiny opening just to see out of it.

My  :2cents:  (compared to my FM25ti):

  1. The eye opening is slightly larger on the Mizuno
  2. It is a flatter, lower profile mask
  3. The upper "eye bar" is set back more than the lower one by about 1/8 - 1/4" (perhaps similar to the FM4000 from what I've heard).

These are all factors which should contribute to greater visibility.  Count me in the minority, but I like my FM25 more than I did the Mizuno.  The Mizuno is a great mask but it didn't work for me.  Expensive experiment, but I am glad I did it.
