Article on violence against officials

I've been on vacation the past week and am checking up on my emails. 

 

A friend emailed me asking if I had seen an article about why violence against officials is increasing. From what I was told it comes down to that now a days all too often sports officials are the first people to tell a kid "no" so kids dislike officials and are more prone to lash out on them. Then because officials are the first to tell their kids no and the parents feel hurt that their kid has been told no and angry against officials because they feel nobody should tell their kids no.

 

Has anybody seen this. I asked my friend for more info to read the entire article, but I thought somebody here would have read it.

I haven't but the premise is not far  from the truth. My oldest son was an instructor at the Kempo summer camp. He told me repeatedly that these kids just don't get it. We tell them to do something and they don't want to, they are shocked when they are doing pushups or lunges.

Consider the "parents", children, and society as a whole during the '60s & '70's. Your answer can be found within.
