Congrats to Will.

Guess Dale Ford called this one right from an article earlier in the year.

Let's hope we hear from him for the next 30 years.

And everybody in Johnson City knew from the local newspaper by 8 pm on Sunday.

And of course he will make more than a month's MiLB salary in those 4 days, along with a nice per diem. Finally a chance to make more than $90 per game for a 2nd year AAA guy at $2,700 a month and a months worth of MiLB per diem per day in MLB. 16 MLB call up games equals a full season pay in MiLB AAA for a 2nd year guy. Heck, even the best one can do in AAA is $116 per game and they make that in HS in certain areas of the Northeast.

The guys who do not catch anyone's eye after 3 years and are let go, it looks like were only making $2,800 per month or $93 per game and never even worked a game for $100 in their professional career. Heck even some Amateur playing Leagues that pay umpires $50 per game with a 2 hour time limit play 2 games in 1.5 hours each and make $100 in 3 hours while a AAA guy has a long 3.5 hour 9 inning game for $93 or $87 if they are a rookie in AAA. Very tough apprenticeship.
