How frigging exciting! My first rookie umpire as a crew chief, Chris Conroy, #98, was hired today as a MLB full time staff member!!!

Definitely a come from behind (it's not where you start, it's where you finish), hard working class (non phenom classification), story for Conroy. Started, maybe 1 or 2 days before his 26th birthday in the NYP in 2000. Although going to the Arizona Fall League in 2007, and again in 2009&2010, did not get a MLB call up till 2010 in September at 36 years young after watching phenoms Bellino (started 2003), Carapazza (2003), Porter (2002), Gonzalez (2002) go by. Worked 5 games in 2010, 78 in 2011 before working 129 in 2012 and being up all of 2013. Once he caught somebody's eye late in the game he really moved. Has been given 2 years service credit compared to Gonzalez 1 (127 call up games) due to more call up games worked.
