So I've got the field for a 9u rec ball game. Really low skill level and the attention span is even lower.  But they are out there having fun (at least most of them are) and it all pays the same anyway.

R1 takes off on a wacker to left center.  As he gets to second base I see, but don't believe what I'm seeing, F5 tossing a handful of dirt into R1's face as he rounds second.  I kind of do a double take and think he really didn't do what I think I just saw.  It must have been an accident or something.  Now the BR is approching second and F5 bends down, picks up a handful of dirt and tosses it in the BR's face.  What the heck?

Coach for the other team sees what is happening and starts to say something and I tell him I've got it.  I got over to F5's coach and tell him he's going to have to pull F5 and explain why.  He tells F5 he's being pulled and asks him if he knows why.  He didn't have a clue.  He had this "deer in the headlights look"  I think he may not have been all there so to speak.

Strangest thing I have ever seen!

Well.....did you call obstruction!??!  :smachhead:

Crazy story!!

Actually no.  I was to dumbfounded to really do much of anything.  Once the play was over things got "fixed".
