I know I have seen this somewhere, but can the pitcher wear a "white" batting glove under his leather glove? Correct me if i am wrong, but i think he can only wear a black batting glove under his leather glove.

What rule # is this so i can look it up?

PBUC manual 1.22 (page 9.)  No pitcher shall be allowed to wear a batting glove while pitching.

That, too... :notworthy:  :notworthy:

 I've reduced my on line antics. Also I've pretty much removed myself from umpiring baseball games, preferring to concentrate on Softball,

But sometimes I like visiting.....

Hope you have survied the heat wave, maybe you want to come down to Florida to cool off....

What if it is a Palm Guard glove designed to be worn under a glove? That is NOT a batting glove. (Spirit and intent)

In reality unless someone REALLY bitches a LOT about this glove OR I believe it is a distraction it would be ‘Over officiating†to worry about this.

You have more and bigger fish to fry.

What are you going to do when the pitcher begins to rub the ball between his hands with a batting glove on, Big?

I'll tell you what I'm going to do the next time I run into a coach like Rich Ives that tells me it's the pitcher's perogative to take the glove off to rub up the ball. I'm going to start the clock on his time to deliver the pitch to the batter, and it'll be a tightly wound clock.

Tic-Tock, pitcher....................nine.............ten............eleven..........twelve...............BALL!!

1) Counting faster doesn't make time go faster. 12 seconds is 12 seconds.

2) In LL it's 20 seconds.

3) It is only in effect with no runners on base.

Don't make things up.

Quit whining, coach. The clock starts when he gets the ball and the batter is in the box. I don't wear a watch and I don't carry a stop watch, so the clock tics as fast as I decide it does. Since I don't work the small diamond I'll have to take your word that it's 20 seconds, but I don't think that's correct for juniors and seniors. I'll have to check. And you must have missed the provision in 8.05(h) that gives me the ability to call a balk every time he unnecessarily delays the game with runners on.
