How about wooden bats and the pro ball. Then, if they still don't get more dingers, bring in the fences another 10' all over the park. If 10' is too much go to 5. If 10' is too little go to 15 or 20.

 

Of course they could try and generate more action with steals, hit and runs, bunts, and fundamental baseball rather than Billy Ball and Earl Weaver ball where they just wait for the big 3 run boomer.

 

They could go back in time and let the batter tell the pitcher where he wanted the ball and the pitcher has to comply. Make it like slow pitch softball and that super slow pitch league where all they do is hit dingers.

 

Oh, hell, just let them put it on a tee and hit the crap out of it, and hand them a pacifier if it doesn't go out of the yard.

Those that can adapt will succeed - those that keep trying to do the same old will fail and complain about it. God forbid there's a pitcher's duel or a one run game that's not 15-14. This actually forces teams to be good in every facet of the game. IMO collegiate baseball is better off for it. No need to juice up the numbers and then have the kids fail when it comes time to get drafted and they can't get out of the minors. Again, just my opinion.

God forbid the coaches might have to coach. Teach the kids to pitch and play defense, homeruns are less necessary. Why artificially enhance the numbers?
