It's hard to watch the happenings around Boston today.  Prayers for all involved!

As probably most of you have heard by now, there was a bombing at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. At least 2 people killed, many, many more injured. A great tradition of sports and international competition has been bloodied by some terrorist in a planned attack. My prayers are with the victims and the people of Boston.

I am still in shock that something like this could happen in my home city.  I am incredibly lucky that I was not there, all of my family and friends are safe.  All of my thoughts are with the victims and their families.  I feel the need to echo what many others have said in expressing gratitude to the HEROES in the Boston Police, Fire and EMS departments as well as volunteer doctors and nurses that immediately and selflessly jumped in to help those that were hurt.  As tragic as it is to have three deaths it could have been much worse.

 

I will forever be a proud Bostonian!

I read last night that children from Newtown were there at the 26th mile to commemorate the 26 dead at Newtown.  Haven't these poor kids seen enough devastation? So Sad
