Delta Flex vs. DaviShield True Vest vs. Honigs Zero Gravity

I know the Delta Flex modification is popular, and I am considering it myself for my WVG. 

 

I was curious as to how the vest style harnesses of the DaviShield or Zero Gravity would work, or if anyone has tried it?  I see that Gerry Davis sports sells the harness only, and it appears as though it would do a good job of distributing the pressure around.  IIRC, even though the protection of the DaviShield was sub-par someone (kylejt I think) liked the way the harness fit. 

 

I don't see that Honig's sells the harness only, but that harness design looks like it would be good as well.  If someone had an old one they could possibly swap the harness out.

I actually really enjoyed the adjustability of the Davishield harness setup. It's only drawback was the velcro seemed to stick to my shirts, causing some weird hangups. Velcro and polyester shirts just don't work well together.

 

The Davishield was okay protection. Better than the old foam ribbed relics, but not on par with solid plastic plates. I'd use it for softball, if I did softball. It fits really nice.

Thanks for the reply.  I thought it was you who liked the Davishield fit, just not the protection for Baseball.  For $14.95 it might be worth picking up just the harness to try.

I loved the way my old Davishield fit with the true vest harness and I don't know that there is a better harness on the market as far as fit goes. However it did get a little hot for me and considering that the Davishield is a relatively cooler chest protector than many on the market I decided to give the deltaflex a try on my Platinum and it works great. I haven't tried the true vest harness on my platinum yet but I can't imagine it would be too bad other that the heat. I would say that considering the price it might be worth it to just get both and decide which one you like more.

just ordered 2 delta flex harnesses from u a a couple days ago, should be here tomorrow, tried a buddies on a couple months ago and loved it. He also had the team Wendy retrofit done to it, I'll be sending in my gold for the team Wendy retriofit as soon as I can get my deltaflex harness for the platinum, takes 3 to four weeks for the retrofit... Definitely worth the 120 dollar investment if you ask me...
