There are more but this is one of them:

"2013 Official Baseball Rules

I. INTERFERENCE

Rule 2.00

An INFIELD FLY is a fair fly ball (not including a line drive nor an attempted bunt)

which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort, when first and second, or first,

second and third bases are occupied, before two are out. The pitcher, catcher and any

outfielder who stations himself in the infield on the play shall be considered infielders for

the purpose of this rule.

***

When an infield fly rule is called, runners may advance at their own risk. If on an infield

fly rule, the infielder intentionally drops a fair ball, the ball remains in play despite the

provisions of Rule 6.05(l). The infield fly rule takes precedence.

If interference is called during an infield fly, the ball remains alive until it is

determined whether the ball is fair or foul. If fair, both the runner who interfered with the

fielder and the batter are out. If foul, even if caught, the runner is out and the batter

returns to bat."

Edited to correct the link which you will have to copy and paste since this iPad and I can't make it a link.

So is this part different? Is it no longer an IFF if its on the grass behind the infield?

This change is not a response to the Wild Card play - it has really nothing to do with it (that part of the rule is the same). The change is the interference-during-IFF aspect, as occurred during an August Marlins-Dodgers game. R1 was called out and B1 returned to bat (PU had ruled a fair ball). Under the 2013 rule, both R1 and B1 will be out.

2.00 (Interference)'s "on any interference, the ball is dead" phrase was also removed. A run may now score on a play that contains interference (<2 out).

I put the wrong link: umpire-empire.com/index.php/topic/44585-marlins-dodgers-interference-play/

I believe the umpires got it right and called it a foul ball and therefore were correct by this new rule wording and PBUC wording that already existed and the MLB interp tat came out at the time.I think Gil is still trying to rationalize his wrong interp back then.
