Hi my name is Terry, I'm 50 years old and I started umpiring HS ball in our local Association, in 2001. Up until that time I had umpired and coached in our local SB, LL and BR organization called Seaside Kids for nearly 20 years. Originally coaching was my main spring and summer activity. I finally realized that with everything else that was going on, I couldn't devote as much time as needed to coach the way I wanted. Yet, I still wanted/needed to stay tied to the kids and the game. So when I was approached by one of the umpires from the local Association, I said I would give it a try. Loving it ever since.

Since 2001, I've had a chance to umpire BR District, State and Regional games, college level summer baseball and HS playoffs and last spring I was part of a three man crew that worked one of the State championship games. Which was a great experience, working with two other umpires from different parts of the State and Associations.

I continue to work at learning and bettering my officiating skills. I have been an avid reader of several sites similar to this one over the past 18 months. I find these sites to be very informative. I look forward to our discussions.
