13U USSSA. Team comes in and is playing in the game before I start where my partner is already on the bases, I see play from tower. Has a whacker at first, calls runner out. First base coach running his mouth, BU tells him he has heard enough. Game ends and we see his arm wave. Tossed the first base coach, he is not allowed to coach rest of day by UIC and TD. So there next game goes off without incident, but then in the last game, I am PU, and in the bottom of the 7th tie game bases loaded, his batter takes one knee high for strike three. The head coach comes whining to me that there is no way that was a strike, I tell him we are not discussing balls and strikes. He then comes back with "call it both ways blue" Team just didn't get that we were serious.

Funny story:

A buddy was doing an USSSA tournament and the manager was yakking on balls and strikes. Chuck tells him enough and balls and strikes are no a subject for discussion. The manager asks for time, comes down to the plate and asks if he can ask a question? Chuck tells him as long as it isn't about the strike zone, sure. He takes a second and says he just has one question. He is told no problem as long as it isn't about strikes. He takes a deep breath, thinks for a second, then says OK, turns and goes back to his box. Absolutely classic.

During a provincial tournament I had a coach who was going on about balls and strikes, and without thinking too long or hard about it I asked the coach "are you arguing a judgement call coach"? Funny how fast it got quiet.
