The problem is because these are college refs a lot of them are fans of NFL teams. Now most of them arent dumb enough to do what this guy did but the point is everyone is going to have some sort of prefrence. That said, the picture of him on facebook in saints gear is disheartening and also concerning because according to the article the NFL didnt even realize. Just get the regular officials back. This replacement offical BS is getting old.

Of course they are, just like every NFL official...they all grew up a fan of one team or another.

Of course they are, just like every NFL official...they all grew up a fan of one team or another.

I know that but when you are an NFL official you need to curb your allegiance. When your a lifelong fan for one team and you get a call saying in one week your working a game with that team it may be hard to make the transition from fan to ref.

Still cannot believe that this one got past the NFL. Would of thought they would of vetted the whole book on these guys and doesn't that start with their Facebook page these days?

Every employer checks social media. It's disappointing that the NFL didn't.
