Later in the game the announcers stated that MLB Umpire SpecIal Assistant Bruce Froemming was at the game and he stated that the the call by the PU was the greatest display of instinctive umpiring that he had ever seen.

We now have a new term for jumping your partners claim "instinctive umpiring".

Instinctive your right but you'd better be damn sure that you get the call right or you risk looking like an idiot.

Yeah, make sure to watch his career to see if he becomes a permanent in MLB. That will be a very telling tale outside of the politically correct response to the media who would rip him if he said anything to the contrary.
