Selling through this forum using paypal has been great this year. In the past I always sold on ebay. You would get charged fees by ebay and then if you used paypal for the money end of the transaction

Selling through this forum using paypal has been great this year. In the past I always sold on ebay. You would get charged fees by ebay and then if you used paypal for the money end of the transaction you were charged with another fee. Here you get all your money...as long as you tell paypal you transfering money to a friend and not for goods or services...might be slightly against paypals rules, but it helps to make both the buyer and seller happy.

You could probably get more money for some items selling on ebay, but the fees bring down your actual take home. Selling here you know that someone who appreciates the gear gets it and you can even barter at times. I just sold my WV Gold to Panda on this site...he paid with paypal plus some 15" Diamond ump-lite shins. I wanted to get rid of the Gold and I really wanted a pair of the 15" diamonds. Worked out great for all parties involved....in the future I will always try to sell here first...unless I have something rare that I know will fetch BIG bucks on ebay.

I like the trade/barter option. I have gotten 4 pairs of pants, a mask, and a wv gold from this site and all I've spent is about $20 shipping. Of course, you have to have something someon wants to trade for.

Do not do the gift payment option! That leaves you with no protection from someone trying to rip you off. The fee paypal charges is like 3%, if it's that big of a deal where the fee is more than $5 split the cost of it with the buyer and have them pay a little more. Better to be safe than sorry in the end. Hell, even a postal money order leaves you with more protection than the gift payment option.

The honor system works. If both parties are honorable. I know the 3 people I've traded with have no complaints about me. I have dealt directly/indirectly with 5 different guys.
