UA Cold Gear Alternative

Hey all ...

What are everyone's best finds for UA alternative stuff, specifically cold-gear? I'm looking at getting a 'cold-gear' style shirt for a gift and certainly don't want to pay UA prices

I know there are some out there, like, Layer8 or C9 at Target, ...anything else? Who's had good luck with others?

Maybe you have already tried these....

Sports Authority & Dicks - clearance (may have to wait for early spring) I have picked up many things this way, including heat gear pants for $23.

ebay - I picked up pants and shirt for 70 bucks shipped.

Thanks! I mean, I know how to "google search" something, etc etc, ...but I wanted to get any first hand experience from the forum on places and/or brands they've had luck with...

No problem. Dicks and Sports Auth. are mostly in store....I never seem to be able to find a good deal online with them.

I'll admit, I have the luxury of having all my UA stuff paid for by my hockey teams over the years...always be nice to your equipment managers!...but I have also tried the alternatives and I can say with absolute confidence that UA is head and shoulders above the competition and that the price is well worth not only the performance, but also the longevity that you get from the product.

Have not tried but Honigs has a new line of that type of gear...

I always liked the McDavid....especially when their discount code worked for 50% off....

I bought some stuff in October....went to buy again last week....

The discount code was finally declared "invalid".....

After about a season and a half....

"KILLING ME".....

Anybody got any active discount codes?

I have an Elbeco Ufx mock that I wear under my pullover when it gets chilly. I also have UA coldgear and IMHO the Elbeco is superior. I also wear it hunting because it is warmer on the deer stand. I picked it up at a sports show for about $20.
