in this sit.. unless you are absolutely 100% sure the batter got hit, award the base ..but take your time, call time.. if your not sure ask the batter let me see your hand.. look for a mark.. if there is one, award a base....

This is the thing that I have noticed about the new bats in HS(BBCOR). The sound is so different from the BESR bats, it's hard to tell by sound what happened. The question I have is...did he offer at the pitch?
