Play at the plate--runner is out by 4 feet with catcher blocking beautifully. OC head coach comes out to argue obstruction. "Coach, catcher had the ball and made the tag. What did you see?" "The catcher lined up in the base path. That's an automatic obstruction. Everybody knows that!" " Did the catcher impede your runner?" " No,but it's automatic. Can't set up in the base path." " Coach, you also need a runner." AND THE LIGHT GOES ON!!

Between innings,coach has rule book in his hands in dugout. Reading,yes, reading. (There's no pictures.) Game ends and coach says to me," You were right." Well, Duh. Partner asks me after the game and just shakes his head.

Chuckled all the way home.

that is the problem--first they complain and then they read the rule rule book.
