Sunday I had an adult wooden bat league game.

It started as a blow out then the other team decided to play, But a good game overall, fun, no bad attitudes.

It was the 6th inning, we'd had good pitching all day. Typical fastball, change-up & curve pitches all game long.

With 2 outs and 2 strikes comes this beautiful knuckleball dancing in, middle of the thighs, center of the plate.

I do my typical chainsaw K3 mechanic. The batter was just shaking his head as he walked away.

After the game a coach was asking a general rules question to my partner and me. That batter walked up and said, "You didn't have to punch me out like that. I was already packing up my bat, heading to the dugout."

We laughed. He said he didn't recognize it until it was too late. And all the guys were F-ing with me after that.

I had a guy hitting a couple weeks back against a F1 hitting between 88-89. He painted the outside corner on a pitch...not on the black but probably the outer 1/4 of the plate.

Hitter looks back and me and goes..."c'mon you give him that pitch and we don't have a chance tonight"

Against this guy, not many teams have a chance anyway...but I refrained from commenting...but mentally shaking my head.
