3N2 Reaction Base Shoe

I have used these now for approximately one year.

They have been very comfortable on my feet.

While cleaning and polishing them this morning, I noticed the upper is separating from the sole, in the heel area of the left shoe.

The rest of the shoe is still in great shape.

If I use the right glue, I believe they can be easily repaired and probably lasy at least one more year.

Has anyone had a similar problem with any shoe and what glue do you recommend I use to re-bond them.

Don't want to trying using anything that won't work because useing one glue after another will just make it harder to get a good bond.

the only glue I have ever used on shoes is "Shoo-Goo". Available at h-ware stores, home depot, wally world, etc. Results have been satisfactory, although nothing to compare it to. Make sure you use a shoe tree, or newspaper to keep the shoe in shape, and once applied, tie a rope or shoestring around the repair spot to keep the sole tight to the upper while it dries. Good luck

As a former trim carpenter of 7 yrs... go very easy on the gorilla glue or you may find yourself pulling out the 80 grit and sanding your shoe back into shape, but your will not find a better bond!

p.s. Brian, ...his OP said he's had them a year, ....I think he got them in August last year...and...remember, Semper doesn't have a light schedule either! No excuses, just sayin B)

I will give the gorilla glue a try.

I have used it before and remember how it does expand and how well it does bond.
