I'm thinking about giving one of these shirts a try. How do they compare to the Honig's HML shirts in size. I wear an 2XL in the Honig's (plate & bases). Are they so big I need to size down to an XL or are they close to the Honig's shirts? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Current XL Honigs shirts are 25.25" across the chest .......... sorry but that's all I have

Have one of the guys who has the shirt you're interested in measure it across the front at the armpits .....then measure one of your shirts. There will be your sizing , thus order appropriately

I will measure my XXL that I recieved yesterday and let you know. For an XXL it is narrow. My collection is mainly smittys from two years ago, Majestics, and Ump-Attire Ultimates, plus some Gerry Davis shirts for cool days (thick).

The XXL runs narrower than the majestic and older smitty (it is way narrower than the 2012 smitty).

Not sure if it will fit me for the plate. I wear XXL in all the shirts mentioned above on the plate and bases. In the older honigs I wore an XXXL (I have not tried the new ones yet).

I will get numbers posted at some point today for comparison between all brands of XXL.

I read it here the other day, but I just noticed how much bigger the new Smitty shirts are. I have always worn XXL in the past and now in thier brand I could probably get by with an XL on the dish and bags. I looked really silly wearing my XXL white on the bases last night.

Smitty's has gone up in size for 2012. All shirts are now set up to fit over a CP. What used to be a 2XL is now an XL

I just received an XL Smitty's Polo Blue from Ump-Attire, it was not the new sizing so this will be a bases-only shirt for me. The only challenge with changing the sizing is that it could take a couple of years for all of the "old" sizes to sell through and in the meantime a retailer will have 2 of the same shirt, same "size" with different measurements. So it creates a mess in some ways.

That is odd that the XL is wider than the XXL. I can't remember if I tried on the XL black that he sent me. But I tried on the XL light blue one and it was narrow on me. About the same as this XXL black. That makes sense now that I see an XL blue and an XXL black measure about the same. Hopefully with all his shirts shifting to the black style fabric his sizing will be consistent. I would probably need a XXXL in his shirts and that might be long like a dress.

Yes, I was surprised by it also but it was obvious that the sizing differs by style/fabric right now. Hopefully once all of the shirts go to the same fabric the sizing will become uniform or they will publish a sizing guide.
