If you're talking a "left before the pitch reached the batter" leave-early then the runner that was on 3rd goes back.

i thought that but could not find it

7.13 - and read the examples.

It's realy simple actually. On a 7.13 violation, all outs stand. After the outs are determined, no runner can advance unless forced by the batter's safe advance. Anyone not forced and not out returns to his TOP base.

I still LOVE the possible;

Bases loaded...one of them left early...the ball doesn't make it through the infield...all runners including the BR are safe....BUT....BUT....BUT....

The run DOESN'T COUNT...

The " P O O F---R U L E " I think Rich?

You got it. R3 is removed from the bases - no run scores.

RIM says to instruct scorekeeper to put an X through that runner's at-bat box and write in 7.13© POOF!!!!!!

Never have had to call it, but it's bound to happen eventually!

so bases loaded B4 hits to F6 who throws the ball halfway into right field, all runners score BR ends up on 3rd from errors. do all runner "poof" if one left early? if so I'm sure I wouldn't have "seen" the leaving early. if he is thrown out at 3rd all runner return to thier TOP base correct? thanks 1

In your original situation, it's BR on 1st, R1 on 2nd, R2 on 3rd and R3 poofs. As for "not seeing it", that's why you're supposed to drop the flag when the infraction occurs. It's a rule. Just like the rest of them, we have to enforce it, even if we don't like it...

You throw the flag as soon as you see the violation. You can't undo it.

Only R3 goes poof.

B-R to 1B, R1 to 2B, R2 to 3B.

And yes, it the B-R is thrown out everyone returns.

BR can not advance beyond 1B on a single or an error, 2B on a double or 3B on a triple - UIC judgment determines value of hit.

Since this was an infield hit/E6, BR only gets 1B, everyone else except R3 is returned to the base forced to by BR reaching 1b, and R3 goes "poof!" - back to the bench, no out recorded and no run scored. Scorekeeper puts an x through R3's box and writes 7.13© (rule reference)

A 7.13 violation affects all runners, all outs made count, and any open bases as result of outs recorded, provide the necessary real-estate for more runners to be returned.
