I have had a pair of Honigs plate shoes for less than a year, and they are already falling apart! The sole of the shoe is coming unglued and separating, and the metal plate on top of the shoe has cut through the covering and is now cutting my shoe laces on a weekly basis.

Has anybody had a similar experience with the Honigs shoes? It seems that they are falling apart rather quickly. I bought them around the end of June last year, and I probably have around 200 games in them.

I guess it might be time to pick up a new pair...

I do not have the Honigs but would highly recommend the Reeboks if you are in the market for a new pair. Bought mine this spring and worn for about 40 games so far, they still look like new after cleaning them up and are probably the most comfortable shoes I own.

Same endorsement on the Reeboks from me. I bought a pair this year and have worn them for probably 30-40 plate games and they look just like the day I bought them.

I had a pair of Honig's in the past and I probably got several hundred games out of them, but they never fell apart. I just wanted something lighter. That led me to NBs and now Reeboks. I still wear the NBs from time to time, but every time I do I wish I had my Reeboks on. Besides the comfort difference, I really love the extra traction that the Reeboks give me behind the dish.

Always call Honig's before asking us. But this time, when you call them, talk about the number of seasons, not hundreds of games. :wow:

And if they offer a remedy, say something like, "Can I apply that credit toward a pair of Reeboks?"
