New Balance 995s can be quite uncomfortable within the three hours it takes to play a ballgame. The 350s are quite a bit more comfortable.

The 450s are extremely comfortable and functional plate shoes. I'm sure Reeboks are more comfortable, but the NBs are pretty nice.

I got some Reebok turf base shoes on ebay, and I'll be trying them out tomorrow. I'll get the plate shoes this summer and try them out, too. I'm always looking for the most comfortable shoes for my old feet.

I used NB 450's for a couple of years, then decided to try the Reeboks when I had a metatarsal plate on my NB's start to come loose. The Reeboks are definitely more comfortable, and have better traction. I sent the faulty NB's back to NB, and got a replacement pair, kept them as a backup, then sold them at a discount last week to a kid that is just getting into umpiring, and used the money towards another pair of Reeboks. I was pretty bummed, though, because I could only find the low tops. Seems as though nobody has the mids in my size anymore. Who knows, maybe I will like the lows better. The main thing is, that I always like to keep a back up pair of plate shoes, because in my parts, it's not like I can just run down to the corner and pick a pair up if I have an issue that comes up with the pair I am currently using.

I hope Reebok stays committed and keeps making this shoe, because it is definitely the most comfortable plate shoe I have worn.

I agree with the guys above. I used to wear the NB450 plate shoes...I thought they were the most comfortable ever...until I used a pair of the new Reebok plate shoes. The reeboks are a lot more comfortable and provide better traction.

I still wear the NBs from time to time, but I think I am now a Reebok man. I also wear hightop magistate base shoes and the similar Quag hightop for football. Love them all.

Man, I tried out my Reebok Field Magistrate mids today, and I can say that the traction and overall comfort are superior to the NB 350s, but they're a little more rigid than I like. And they're not as light as I thought they'd be.

Have the NB plate shoes and they are comfortable...did not like the 995's I had last season. I am using the UA Streak II trainers this year. Great traction and the soles have wore very well. The issue I run into is width...I have narrow feet and most shoes are D width at the narrowest...which swallow my feet...Reeboks are wider thus I will probably never enjoy their use...:hopmad:

See, that's similar to what my problem was, except I needed them in a much wider shoe. New Balance offered that for me, thus being my primary reason for the purchase of these shoes. I used the base shoe for my tournament this weekend. I honestly didn't have any problem, but they have only got a few miles put on them.
