We all have a love and passion for this game obviously. I don't normally get to "moved" by sports articles, but after reading this I couldn't help but feel that way. Last night I sat in front of the TV and the Net watching the drama of the worlds greatest game unfolding, and this article puts it into perspective in a way I couldn't even describe.

Modern history has shown that the hottest team going into the post-season can actually win it all, even though they're far from the best team in the playoffs. St.Louis or Tampa Bay are hot and have nothing to lose. That may put one of them on top at the end.

In today's game, second place means a hell of a lot. And because there's a wild card, we can have an extra pennant race and a Cinderella story in both leagues at once. That's a beautiful thing.

+1 Mr. Finnerty. I have a feeling the Yanks are gonna seriously regret leaving the Rays in it, at least that's what I hope!

Then again, much like last year, the Rangers have just gone about their business while nobody really pays them any mind. Bottom line, it's great to see the sport playing out this way. Hell I'm a Mets fan so I haven't had this much fun since May!
