cooper gear

has anyone had any experience with cooper ump1000 cp or any other cooper gear ? i believe cooper makes hockey gear . is the ump1000 for goalie's ? also didnt douglas use to make a hard shell cp ? douglas i believe makes football gear . a guy in my area has a douglas but it is pretty old , but he still likes it . any intel welcome .

Cooper was a major hockey equipt. maker back in my days of playing (1980's) it ran right there with Braun, CCM, Sherwood, and Koho (the best sticks ever... ever made!) As far as the ump 1000 you got me? could you post a picture of it or the Douglas that you speak of?

I have one. It's really kind of a neat design. The louvers over the chest let it breathe, but close down when struck, unlike the Davishield. My son swears by his, and he can wear anything he wants.

It is a bit heavy, and it does have some gaps in it. I don't really recommend it. The Douglas is a quality rig, so I understand why it's worn for so long.
