This was the first book that I ever read on umpiring and loved it. I thought it was very funny and made me laugh a lot. The title really says it all.

Durwood was great. I got the chance to see him in action at an Oakland A's game about 3 years before his untimely passing. Was about 5 or 6 rows directly back of HP. Durwood had the stick and in between innings was giving lip right back to the guys in row 4. It was AWESOME!

I just finished it. Highly recommend it. Very entertaining. Lots of great stories, a bit of sage advice about game management being the key difference from the most successful umpires versus those who are not.

A lot of inside information about the umpire strike of the 70's and how the league president has a lot of influence.
