What we don't see is what may have lead up to that call. I know we shouldn't do it but that call may be a FU call. If it was, I bet he got the message clear or hopefully, his coach did.

Was this game a blow out and both coaches wanted anything near the plate called a strike?

The camera angle does not give a good view of where the ball was when it crossed the plate.

Did the pitch clip the batter in the strike zone as the batter kicks his leg out over the plate?

After seeing it on here twice (and who knows where else it is posted), are you here to learn something or bash umpires? I've called it as bad to prove a point. Won't do it again, now, batters get tossed only. But, the message was clear and the others who remained in the game after the fact got the message.

The kid jumping like he saw a rattlesnake makes it look a lot worse than it actually is. Heck, I've seen worse in MLB games.
