Omg Dave, I hope I don't. That sounds like that hurt, making me rub my knee. Would you agree, its almost like that ball has a second mind, and finds that spot, at the moment, any pitches that whistle coming to the plate, ummmm.......????? I'm sure its one thing callin lower level ball, but to call some minor, major, or Intl, teams, I got a ways to go!

But film review on where yur set up in regards to catchers head n if yur movin on pitch, YOU WILL SEE IT! I'm just gonna take my tablet with me for scrimmage and let one of the other umps in my class film my parts of the scrimmage. Heck ya. So far I've had: 20 pitches with just mask, indoors behind a net 20 Batting practice, pitcher with pitchers fence but live situations minus the pitchers protector out there. I ran about an inning Frosh, Scrimmage on 21st with our oshaa metro Toledo class of 11 men 1 female. First game 26th JV But yes totally Dave! I feel comfortable back there, not much worried with taking a pitch on the flesh, similar to a street fight, most or lot of people are afraid to get punched, hence they get nervy lil flinchy, same with behind the plate. Do yur job, n if yur in good position, not flinchin or moving when pitch comes in, 98% of those shots you will handle. Only stings for a minute, lol.

Ya for sure. Was thinkin asking my instructor, but good thinkin, my partner for game. What would u do major Dave? Wanted to get some TW pads for a +pos silver mask. BLACK OR TAN ILL have an all star fm_-25 ready to go in a month or so black mask n pads and harness I think I will go with since the +pos is silver, gotta get a bend fixed so have choices of color for powder coating all-star mask after fix n sandblast.

I say this kindly, but bluntly- for somebody at the level of umpiring you do, I'd think you'd pay more attention to detail to my replies, and u seem to be severely misunderstanding my reply and taking my quotes, Totally, out of context. Had a shot to get a nice used system 7 CP, a gold WV IN DECENT SHAPE, N A Nice DOUGLAS USED, doin JV N UNDER for next 2 yrs, n money seems to be after spring HS ball doin lil league n tourneys from 17 under I'd say. I.e. long weekends, doubleheaders, this CP seems perfect for that! Don't look like I'm in the movie 300, with full armor, or at least that's the look it gives to me So don't need max protection next 2 yrs, but still feel this piece gives, near max protection, and may be more than suitable for Varsity Not sure about minor league or college n up, probably not

If I'm not mistaken, the new model is the Schutt XV HDX, as hibbetts lists as far as model # The old model is the schutt/Adams XL, period. No HDX, which should indicate model. HDX model is what's listed on hibbetts new CP design, has more holes drilled in plates for air flow, and , at least an upgraded harness than past model, and it looks better than a WV harness Think its razzer, guy on here more or less personalises yur CP with a Cadillac type harness, think its razzed But I'll have to go full Stock on my New schutt/Adams See how I like it IMA order tomorrow

Well max, not familiar with this type of baseball, rubber coated. But if I rewind back to my college days, I'd guess 1 of 2 things 1) ball is smaller 2) rubber coating will make ball, if same size as baseball, have a higher compression factor, hence a smaller ball, ON IMPACT with mask. Not sure, just my 2¢ Weird how mask offers no neck or throat protection, does this mean, an attached guard, FOR SURE, is kind of a must, when using this bottom mask, whatever u use it for?

Having a scratch my head moment. I seem to really like that all-star fm25 mask , does seem a tad short at the bottom, nothing a attached guard won't fix tho, if worst comes to worst. HERES THE MAIN QUANDRY; I AM SENDING AWAY THAT all-star fm25 away for fixing and powder coat, its am I doing it NOW, or getting another piece NOW, and sending away the fm25 to get back in time for mid or end of spring Also picked up an all-star ball bag on the cheap, so with an all-star harness, I should look pretty good with 1of2 ball bags I'm wearing matching up with mask

Fully agree. I understand ump attire is big on this site, and for the right reasons. They have a rep that is active here, n affiliated, with UA, which is a good thing. I notice how willing the UA rep is to give us his help n feedback, oh and thanks for the help UA, definitely appreciated by more than me. But PO, great customer service, AND prices. HMMMMM DAVE, just gave me an idea. Seems all 16.5 force 3 leg guards are out of stock on backorder, ALTHOUGH, purchase officials, has the 18.5 " IN STOCK. THIS is making me wonder if maybe I could go 18.5" n have em in a few days for $108. First I'm going Low cut plate shoes, This yrs NB lows Second I'm. 6' 1" 185 Pant inseam is 32 Maybe being plus 6 feet, actually 6' 3/4", lol, but...........Im gaining room not going mid-cut NB plate shoes, say a half inch, and bein a taller lanky guy, maybe they'll work. Thanks I wonder if TW recognized the issue of salt content in pads altering protection, And recommended for troops issued TW padded helmets, to wash pads with a soap that will take out the salt, therefore allowing pads to work at maximum efficiency. Be interesting to know what TW, R & D TEAM, has to say regarding the salt thru perspiration issue

U know what Wolfe, I really was a big fan, of the WTA3007 series, especially the 3007x, just think it means its the model with the 2 tone blk/tan doeskin pads. Really liked look of those 2 tone pads. Are the doeskin better than the Wilson memory foam pads? Also, this WTA3007 is, NOT , THE LOWEST PRICED WILSON MODEL MASK? CORRECT AM I CORRECT WITH ORDER HERE? WITH LOWEST TO HIGHEST PRICE AND/OR QUALITY just Wilson masks 1)Wilson steel, NO hollow bars so a lil more weight 2)wta3007 series; same as above, steel mask, but hollowed out bars, to reduce weight 3)dyna lite aluminum 4) Wison titanium This correct?
