Not with the majority here I know. But, if you wanna wear a plate coat by all means wear it. I personally don't get the elite status of the coat. If it makes you feel good and you like the look then go for it. It if adds confidence that's a good thing. I will wear nothing but short sleeves behind the plate. I don't care if the wind chill is 0. That's what I like.

No problem at all. I call them coach they call me blue. If I work them mire than once or twice a year I will try to remember names. But, I live in a football state. Most of the baseball coaches are new every other year and are coaching because they have to. No biggee to me. But, I am impressed when a coach say" Lee, can I talk to you" as opposed to hey mr. Blue

Can you imagine how the coach of the team hitting would fly off if it hit his hat and slowed it where they made a play.

I'm thinking you got nothing. The hat is part of the uniform and not equipment. But they were discussing it at our association meeting

This is federation. Pitchers hat falls off on almost every pitch. You know it's cool to rock the flat bill that's to large. Obviously it's not a distraction to the batters because they are teeing off on him so there goes that argument...ok say batter drills one back at the mound and it strikes the kids hat lying on the ground. Home team is up by one in the 7th. They have two outs. Visiting team has runner on 1st. Line drive smoked in the alley with centerfielder playing deep. Tying run will score with out a doubt. Centerfielder races to ball grabs it and tosses it over the fence.
