Defensive conference

I know that Fed allows 3 conferences before a pitching change has to be made, but what if there is a pitching change made in between? Does the count restart with the new pitcher or is it cumulative regardless of pitching changes. I didn't have this happen but I think it could

Inn 1 HC visits F1

Inn 2 HC visits F1

Inn 3 new F1

Inn 4 HC visits F1a

Inn 5 HC visits F1a - Does F1a need to be removed is there another free visit for F1a?

I know this one well because I kicked it my first year of HS ball in an evaluation game, so I will never forget it.

The defense gets 3 freebies, after that he must pull F1 each trip following the 3 freebies.

If the defensive coach makes a pitching change he is not charged a confrence.

In your situation the coach must pull F1a when he visits in the 5th.
