Yep, you read that right, NCCAA - National Christian College Athletic Association.

I've been selected to work the Central Regional this weekend in Bartlesville, OK. Several members of my crew are guys that I have worked with before.

Should be a fun weekend!

Well I'm home. Nice 3 days of baseball. Day 1 was very long, we had a 4 1/2 hour rain delay during game 2, walked off the field at 1 am. Day 2 went off without a hitch, worked the plate for the first game of the day, pulled it off in 1:40. Day 3 (today) I had the plate for the championship game! 8 games total in the tourney, I worked 5 of them. In my 8 years of working college baseball, I've never worked any games as quite as these. Not one argument, no griping at all, lots of thank you sirs, we were all amazed with this.

Awesome treatment for all the umpires by the host team! We had a platter of sandwiches to munch on everyday, an icechest full of gatorade and water, and they put us up in the Hilton downtown. And the stadium was very nice. Doenges stadium

I just found out that the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles won it all!!!! The host team for my regional, walked thru the world series with only 1 loss.
