Bases loaded. 0 outs. Batter hits a ground ball to the 3rd baseman who tags R3 who is standing on 3rd base (day dreaming) then tags 3rd base and then throws to 2nd base to retire the runner coming from 1st. Triple play?

Triple play.

Prompting your thought process, not trying to be a school marm: how would it be different if the fielder tagged 3B, then R3, then threw to 2B?

On a side note, advanced to gold medal game in a tourney in this exact scenario - bottom of last inning, bases loaded zero out, tying run on third - short hopped to F5, tagged R3 (who returned thinking it was caught), touched third, throw to second with R1 still standing on first base.   First triple play I was ever part of in a game.

Tangent: Only one I was ever part of was R2/R1 IFF that dropped halfway between HP and mound. Both runners froze 15 feet off the bag as ball went around 1-6-3. Related: the first EJ I should have had. OC complained the rest of the game that it was my fault. "Infield Fly is protect the offense!" That was in my 2nd or 3rd year umpiring.
