ABS -having a tough day.

yankees game yesterday had 8 out of 10 ABS challenges overturned. both games had new call ups getting their feet wet. gonna happen. wonder if there is a pool for most in a game and most for spring training as well as for the year for all the big stat people, and will it be that stat that choses playoff umpires or will it be total misses irregardless of the missed number of challenges that get you to the playoffs. nobody may challenge on a 15-2 game versus a 2 to 1 game and that would not be fair if challenges missed is the determiner for playoffs rather than pitches missed irregardless of a challenge or not.

added--and just so you don't think i am picking on the call ups--onora-- in todays red sox twins game had 8 out of 10 challenges overturned, 6 consecutive calls overturned, if the box score is giving the information consecutively as they happen. and mahrley had 6 consecutive overturns, and 9 out of 11 overall in another game.

just remember, umpires voted for a full ABS system to be used but were voted down by management. it is managements fault if things are not perfect with the challenge system, or just the fact of using the challenge system period.

added-- 9 overturns in a row for mr bacon yesterday march 5th, before having the 10th and 11th confirmed for the day.
