🤣🤣🤣

I'm not sure if that city councilwoman said what she meant to say:

"People getting high on the hillside, streaking, fighting, urinating, this is an amazing community."

On a serious note, when I lived in Jackson, MS, I was told the gangs had serious fingers in youth football -- providing money for uniforms and equipment, claiming teams to represent them, and also running a gambling ring around it.  I don't know if it was true, but it would makes sense with what I saw.

For those who don't click . . . the perpetrator is one of the co-founders of a non-profit youth sports program called Omaha United for Youth.  Their mission statement contains "We strive to lead by example in helping the youth of Omaha Nebraska reach their full potential."

The English teacher in me is cringing at that missed easy comma, but anyway . . .

It does say "strive to" not "we do."

30 days in jail, with potential for another 60 days if he doesn't meet probation conditions including 240 hours of community service. Wonder if he will be allowed to serve that time around kids . . . or be forced to referee basketball.
