Little League rule set

Majors game

On Saturday

Pitcher 1 is removed from the mound having delivered 35 pitches

Pitcher 2 delivered 25 pitches when a downpour stopped the game.

The game will be resumed in Tuesday

Will pitcher 1 be eligible to pitch

Will pitcher 2 be eligible to pitch

I believe that Pitcher 2 will be eligible as their will be two days of rest, but what about the removed pitcher 1? Is he eligible to pitch again since he was “removed”?

01 to 20 = 0 calendar day rest

21 to 35 = 1 calendar day rest

36 to 50 = 2 calendar day rest

51 to 65 = 3 calendar day rest

66 to Max = 4 calendar day rest

No, pitcher 1 is not eligible to pitch as he has been removed from the mound in the game. For lineup purposes and all entry/reentry rules, it is the same game.

Correct. Ejections and injury removals also carry over, too. However, 2 things…

- Pitcher #2’s pitch count is reset to 0.
- Any Ejected players are not eligible to participate, but they can be in the dugout with their teammates and friends.
