Courtesy Runner Rule NFHS

So I work in california, where they do not observe the courtesy runner rule.  I've been trying to find it in the rule book and having trouble doing so, though I do find it online.

 

One place says it's 3.1.1 n another place says it's in the appendix, another place at 8.2.5 and 8.2.6, I found another place that says 8.9.1 through 8.9.5

 

Where exactly in the rule book is the courtesy runner Rule and the reason I ask is because I've talked to several coaches and they're all interested in having that available to them and they can discuss it in the postseason CIF meeting to try to bring that rule to California, but I can't help them if I don't know the exact location of the rule.

 

Honestly think it's a rule that should be taken advantage of as it's awesome it doesn't burn out all your substitutes pinch running for catchers or pitcher and it still allows them to hit the field after running one or more innings for the pitcher or the catcher.

It’s after Rule 10 in the book under Suggested Speed-Up Rules. Your references are all caseplay references from that book. Rule cites use - between the numbers, such as 2-36-3-e, which defines an improper CR as an illegal sub.

As a former CIF umpire in the inland empire , Please lobby to get the Mercy Rule & The CR rule adopted ,  Too many long 7 innings blow outs
