If a batted ball deflects off of a pitcher and rolls towards second base and the second baseman attempts to field the ball and is run into by the base runner, does the interference rule still apply since the ball has not passed the fielding second baseman?

A batter can never be called out for being struck with a deflected batted ball ( unless intentional) but he can be called for interference if he interferes with a fielder attempting to field a deflect
