Two outs, runner on third.  Player takes off for home, batter swings, strike three. Catcher drops ball, runner takes off for first, catcher throws to first. Runner scores before put out at first, what's the ruling?  Does the run count?  Happened today at one of our games, never encountered a problem like this before.

It's a basic play -- BR was out before first, so no run can score.

You wouldn't have a problem with the play if it read "BR grounds to F6.  R3 scores before BR is out at first" -- your play is no different.

How was it scored in your game?
